Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI)

Return on marketing investment is the contribution to profit attributable to marketing, divided by the marketing ‘invested’ or risked. ROMI is not like the other ‘return-on-investment’ metrics because marketing is not the same kind of investment.
Marketers who are able to display the return of each investment are able to guide their budgets based on their actual needs and ideas for growth, rather than being stuck with what the finance department thinks they need.
