Bounce Rate

A bounce rate represents the percentage of visitors who enter a website site page and then leave (“bounce”) rather than continuing to view other pages within the same site. Bounce Rate is a measure of visit quality and a high Bounce Rate generally indicates that site entrance (landing) pages aren’t relevant to your visitors.
There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ bounce rate. With over a billion pages on the Internet, it is challenging to generalize for this metric, given the wide variety of website types and industries targeting a vast and diverse audience.
