A good athlete is hard to come by. In any sport, few manage to climb the ranks long and high enough to make their own mark, and even fewer come to represent what the field of athletics is really about—a studied, rigorous discipline of mind and body, the carefully-crafted union of the two most advanced natural tools human beings find themselves in possession of. And in a day and age where movement is often optional, there aren’t many who’ve gotten to experience, much less practice and apply, the study of those tools.
One of the exceptions is Jordan Winke.
Jordan is a Social Media Marketer for Aelieve Digital Marketing. Her job is more than just making posts and captions—it involves strategic audience targeting, researching social trends, and providing businesses with solid reasoning as to why they should push certain posts over others. The fact of the matter is, people aren’t watching television commercials much anymore. But with the right social media marketing, a good post can bring in more attention at a fraction of the cost, all with a simple upload.
And Jordan’s career thus far makes her a platinum candidate for this kind of marketing work. From the time when she was ten years old and created an entire recipe book from scratch on the computer to promote her own lemonade stand, to when she worked for the University of Iowa’s sports marketing team for their athletic department—managing social media accounts that held audiences of anywhere from 5,000 to 144,000 people—Jordan has proven her drive without fail, time and time again, from an early age.
What’s more, while in school and pursuing and eventually attaining a Major in Marketing and a Minor in Sports and Recreation Management, Jordan was also a conference collegiate athlete, running Track and Field and Cross Country for the Hawkeyes. With school, work, sports, and other commitments, she would often leave for her day well before the sun came up, and wouldn’t get home well after it had come down.
Jordan’s Herculean ambition, resilience, determination, energy, and discipline don’t just make her an athlete and an employee worthy of laurels—they make her a person that Aelieve and its clients are lucky to have competing alongside them, every day.
